This photo collection of bed bug bites is from people around the world that were attacked while sleeping; they were kind enough to share their nightmare with us.
Picture of baby covered in bed bug bites!
This horrifying image is of a baby eaten alive and completely unable to defend itself. The mother had purchased a used crib at a garage sale which turned out to be infested. The horde of bugs living in the crib and deprived of food swarmed over that baby once it was placed inside for the night and had a feeding fest.
BTW – Here are pictures of the bugs and infestations!
Since 2008, we’ve seen incredible pictures that would make anyone’s skin crawl and now you can too! There are hundreds of pictures to look at that I’m sure will give you the same freaked out feeling they give us :)
Let’s start with this horrifying image of a baby clearly eaten alive and completely unable to defend itself. The mother had purchased a used crib at a garage sale which turned out to be infested. The horde of bugs living in the crib and deprived of food swarmed over that baby once it was placed inside for the night!
Bed bugs don’t discriminate based on age! Take a look at Richard’s bites after staying at an infested hotel where he was viciously attacked while sleeping. Imagine waking up to this!
Photo of Richard’s bites and medication prescribed
Below is a picture of Richard’s arm covered with more than 50 bites!
Here you can see his thigh with multiple bites:
Bed bugs bit his calf as well!
Photo showing his leg with bites!
He had over 50 bites per arm! Many bites on his back including both the front and back of his legs. The itching was so bad that Richard ended up at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Urgent Care. The doctors prescribed Antibiotic and Anti Itching medicine as shown in the photo below. He ended up missing two days of work on top of it all.
With that many bites I’d say that this was a massive infestation and conclude that the room was not treated properly. Only if Richard could have known about this multi million dollar lawsuit against a hotel for a lot less bites than he had, a lawsuit that is being allowed to move forward because of the number of bites!
Picture of Bites from infestation 30 days old
Adam was kind enough to share these bed bug bites pictures which span a month’s time. He is from Canoga Park California and the infestation is fairly new (less than 30 days). The first pic shows the number of red and swollen bites on his stomach.
This next image shows the bite areas circled.
Adam found and collected the bed bugs by placing them in a plastic baggie. Needless to say, they were full of his blood.
Adam said they can’t sleep because they worry about getting more bites. He has used multiple bombs (which typically don’t work and not the ideal solution) and also sprays. He will send us more pictures of bites as they happen.
Bed Bugs were hiding in headboard!
In the case below, a visitor going by the name “Wondering” has been being eaten alive for months and has been going crazy trying to figure out why she is being eaten alive while her boyfriend is hardly bitten at all.
Below you can see about 20-30 bites on her arms, neck and back. They tore their home apart looking for an infestation in the mattress, bedding, and clothing only to find “black specs” (indicating bed bug feces).
The bites start out as swollen itchy red bumps, but turn into swollen open red sores & scabs after a couple of days.
Two doctors gave conflicting information. One said she had hives while the other told her she had scabies.
Both doctors were wrong – she ended up finding the bed bugs in the headboard where they would come out during rem sleep and feed on both of them.
Apartment manager “makes it right” after bite pictures posted!
Melissa K. sent us pictures of her bites which turned out to be from bed bugs. It all started when the bed bug infested apartment next to her was treated, and as is most often the case after a failed treatment, the bugs made their way through the electrical outlets and into her apartment.
Only two weeks after the failed treatment next door, Melissa and her elderly mother started getting bit. Melissa discovered 13 huge, itchy, painful bites that oozed with pus.
Melissa tried to explain all this to the apartment manager, but he just wouldn’t listen and told her it was her own fault. It was so bad that her bedtime friend was a flashlight and rest came only after her fearful eyes couldn’t stay open.
She sent us pictures of her bites which we posted along with her story. She read our bed bug checklist, found the bugs and showed them to the manager, along with a link to our page covering her story.
We are happy to report that the manager “made it right” by treating the apartment at their cost. Melissa and her mother are not longer being bitten, although she still sleeps with a flashlight close at hand.
This was slide 1, there are a lot more pictures such as this one showing a visitor’s face red and swollen from bed bug bites!
