In this section, you'll find a number of videos about bed bugs that are sure to creep you out! Warning, viewing these videos before you sleep can cause nightmares, seriously! In fact, just reviewing these videos made me itch all over.
Here is a great video from National Geographic that gives you an overview of the bed bug and how these pest can reproduce at an incredible rate but how they can also attack you at night!
College dorms are a great place for bed bugs and they are being found in greater numbers than before. Make sure your teenager watches this bedbug video before they go off to college; in fact, they should watch it anyway so they understand what may be hiding under the bed!

Here is a video of a family that bought a new mattress and box spring only to find out too late that it was infested with bedbugs. In fact, it was so infested that the rooms had to be sealed off for more than three weeks.
The place store that sold her the mattress is not named, but has paid $1,000 in pest control fees.
The store either put a returned mattress back out on the floor or stored a used mattress next to the new ones.
Prove positive that checking for bedbugs before buying a mattress can save you a lot of trouble!
Here is a clip on Uptown Towers and Stanley Rowe Tower on Liberty Street that shows just how serious the bed bug problem really is. What I like about this video is the steam cleaning used to get rid of the bugs - gives you an idea of how it's done (and that is not even full proof!).

Shannon,
That looks like a very hungry bedbug in the video you have! They get longer the less blood (food) they have in them.
Is this a bed bug? Found it an hour ago at Marriott airport in Orlando.
Note: bedbug video placed at top of page…
Hello,
I have been getting bitten and finally found out what was doing it.
It’s my worst nightmare, they are bed bugs! I woke up late early in the morning and found these feeding on me!
I captured them and placed the bugs in my sink to capture them in motion. (see video at top of page…)
You can see the last one is extremely large, and much faster than I would have imagined!
I wanted to see if we could break our lease after finding we had a bad bedbug infestation? I wrote the office a letter saying were not paying rent until we have physical proof they are all gone. Is that a wrong thing to do? Should we move? And are they in every apartment then?
Yes, if you’ve been bitten as in the videos you could have a stronger reaction then others. Most simply have a small red mark, many have nothing at all, and a few have a strong reaction.
if i got bitten on the ankle by a bedbug can that bit make my anckle swell up
These pests are so annoying it’s sickening!! They got me tweaking in the nights, watching if I’ll be able to spot one walking around or even to see one trying to feed off of my toddlers!! But to make a long story short, I just wanted to express my idea of how they should be killed: It should be killed by one’s hands – naturally – smashing them to death! But then rumors have it that if a bedbug is killed in that fashion, that their blood carries their babies! Is it true? Does anyone know if it’s a fact or if it’s just a rumor?
Hi Rachel,
They find cracks and existing holes to hide in – a favorite is where two pieces of wood come together yet leave a space large enough to hide.
can bedbugs acctually LIVE IN woodbase surfaces, like a headboard? if so, how can they dig into the wood?
Well… I live in a 4 unit apartment building that used to be an old house.. there’s an old man that lives under me and i share a hallway with him. I recently saw a German roach passing through the wall and called an exterminator because i’m NOT a dirty person and have done nothing to deserve roaches!
Upon the exterminators inspection of the whole building he found no roaches… but he found bedbugs in the old mans apartment.. that hes been living in for almost 30 years. I personally haven’t had any bites or seen any bugs… but my question is: can they come through the walls or pipes or under the door?! i know i could pick them up walking around his door or on his rugs.
Could my cat pick them up if he accidentally ran into his apartment? I’m scared I’m going to get infested and i don’t want to have to deal with this… is this a way to break my lease? I’m terrified to go back but i cant stand staying with my mother!! someone with answers please help :(
I live in a townhouse and have lived here for three years. We found out we had bedbugs a few months after moving in the lady next door said they have been here for awhile. I have five kids and already had to throw out all my beds and furntuer and started new and now there worse then ever we are moving now because our landlord is not doing anything about it. Its winter and i was wondering if keeping my stuff in a storge shed for a few months will kill them we need to fiuger this out we just cant afford to start over agin. What can we do?
Hi My Friend Olivia and my ex boyfriend are going to the movies. We go to school together and I’m afraid I’ll get them and so will my friends! Should i still go to school? And i have been begging them not to go! They wont listen! Please answer!
We had them… I got them from a high class hotel in Maine and took them back to California with me. UGgggg. I got misdiagnosed with all this awful sink problems until my pharmacist pegged it!!! My friend Linda told me how to use DE to get rid of it and that was the ONLY thing that worked. We used steam, expensive pesticides… lots of washing vacuuming and cleaning and this was the only thing. But it was a lot of work making sure we did it right. You can beat this, don’t give up! xoxo Mary
Why is this done is such a CUTESY manner? Since when did National Geographic get so tacky.
THIS IS NO JOKING MATTER. Object to being called a SUCKER / SUCKEE.
Highly offensive – -
i have been asked to do a presentation for a pest control company. can i use your bed bug videos and if so how can i down load them?
thanks
Hi Nakeyda,
Do you have pictures of the infestation? Can you send them to me (see email at bottom of this page).
You’re wise to keep that money in the bank so you can show proof that it’s been there the whole time!
Regards,
Jim
Bed bugs has been a on going problem for me. My landlord know about it before I did because they had other case with in the building. I’m so pissed because I just bought new furniture. I’m on section 8 and they told me to call the bored of health. Spoke to them and Code Enforcement they came out but the landlord didn’t open the door.
I have a minor child at home who has marks all over her body. My furniture is no longer good do to the infestation of bed bugs. It’s been over a year now and my landlord refuses to remove the rugs in my home. I took them to small claims court asking for the amount of my bed. Got the money back for that and now they are bring me to court for non payment of rent.
They can kiss dirt, I have my money in an account waiting on them. I’m not hard up for money….. Wrong is Wrong and they should of made sure this problem was under control. If you plan on bring you landlord to court make sure you have proof and document every thing. (dates, who you spoke to, when the unit was treated, pictures, etc)
It thought to be fact that approximately 3% of people bit by bed bugs have/show an allergic reaction. That leaves a LOT of people being bitten and not even realizing that they have an infestation. Look at the bedbug checklist and make sure you don’t have bugs, it takes only a few minutes!
I have been bothered by insect bites on and off for many months and have been treating my mattress and flat with household sprays I got from the vets (thinking they were fleas, as I have a friend who owns a a cat that is never treated.) However, as these bites are on my lips, eyebrows, chest, shoulders and upper arms I suspect them to be these little buggers.
Although I have searched thoroughly for signs, all I occasionally come across is a single fast walking white or cream colored tiny creature, the latest one hiding in a Christmas card. They are not bulbous, and at first I took them to be book lice or dust mites. I actually captured one yesterday in a spice jar, but it’s either escaped or is hiding in the lid.
Have you got any more pictures of the nymphs? It’s so hard to compare looking at highly magnified photos – I couldn’t get a very good look using a hand lens. All I know is these creatures crawl very fast when I’ve seen them on the windowsill and the sensation I’ve had in bed or even while wearing clothes early eve in lounge is of something moving quickly, stopping and feeding and staying for a while usually up my wrist, but when I roll my sleeve back I never see a thing!!!
Thank you.
just over a week ago i found a bed on the side of the road. BIG MISTAKE … being homeless over a year made me desperate to have bed to sleep on. On the 2nd night i had bites, not knowing i kept the bed 4 a week. Now its gone. But the bites r not gone i cant get any sleep from itching they welt and seem 2 b spreading even hydrocortizone doesn’t help, I’ve tried putting bleach in my bathwater now gave some relief. My question is how do i deal with these bites? Please help I’m in pain… No insurance to goto the doctor.
Watching this bed bug video begs me to ask, are bed bug bites mistaken for folliculitis? (skin on thighs and arms are irritated by friction of clothes (as in playing sports) become infected by Staphylococcus aureus, bacterium that lives on skin of most people, and causes red bumps with white centers (whiteheads) that can be very itchy.
Do you know if bed begs can be more of a line shape instead of the round shell on top? is there different type of bed bugs?
Answer: Hi Simon, check out the picture of the bed bug life cycle on the main page on this site and you’ll see they can take on different shapes as they grow and fill with blood.
I have the same problem I have bedbug at my house and it’s so stressful cause i have a baby girl and shes only 15 months and she always wakes up with bites everywhere. We have a few bedbugs in a cup with tape. My house is full of bedbug we also have pictures of them, they where even hidden in my daughters crib! Now we are moving out and I’m scared of the bedbugs are going with us to our new apartment.
